Marbled White And Green Leaves Nasturtium

Variegated nasturtium leaves are circular shield shaped leaves that grow on a trailing plant.
Marbled white and green leaves nasturtium. The leaves and flowers of this plant are edible and have the peppery taste of watercress. They are mottled green and white in color with thin veins. Add to this vivid multicoloured blooms flowering above the foliage and an unforgettable sight is produced. The leaves are conspicuously marbled in green and white and in themselves produce a very attractive plant.
Alaska nasturtium have green and white marbled leaves that contrast nicely with its bright 2 inch yellow orange and crimson blooms. My nasturtiums planted several weeks ago from seed are several inches high and most of the plants appear healthy except for several that have largish 1 1 1 2 white or cream color blotches on the leaves almost resembling bleach marks. Marbled white and soft green foliage sets off the single cherry red blooms an unusual and coveted shade among nasturtiums which often tend toward scarlet tones. They grow in lush clusters and are small and delicate reaching around 15 centimeters in diameter.
Variegated naturtium leaves are fragrant with a mustard like scent. Flowers summer to frost.
